Founded in 1912, Queen Ethelburgas Collegiate has as motto: “Be as good as you can with the talents you have.”, pointing out that there are many ways to be successful in life. Queen Ethelburgas Collegiate is in Thorpe Underwood, near Little Ouseburn, in the northeast of the city of York. The campus is based on safety, comfort and practicality.
The number of students in a room varies from 4, 2 and 1, there are five houses that accommodated students by gender and age. Campus on the Thorpe Underwood Hall covers a large area of land typical of rural England and includes a “secret garden” surrounded by walls, a rose garden with a fountain and large areas of green lawn, plus facilities for various activities. Queen Ethelburgas Collegiate is training children between 3 and 19 years, offering and kindergarten program for children aged between three months and three years.
Academic program ends with A Levels exam. Four schools and a kindergarten, the college offers students an excellent education and the opportunity to work and move towards a successful career. Existing curriculum is very broad, which allows students to follow their own interests and aspirations in a range of areas. To this is added a wide range of extracurricular activities that facilitate the acquisition of skills, knowledge and self-confidence that will help them later to build a successful career and a fulfilling life.
The results of Queen Ethelburga’s College students at GCSE or A Level exams are very good and over 97% of college graduates choose to continue their studies at universities around the world.
